Sally is the owner of a beauty salon that offers different hairstyling services, starting with the basic wash, blow-dry, different types of haircut, manicure, perm, and eventually, the fake sun tan. The game works by using the visual cues to know what the customer wants. Through fast services and giving them the look they want, the customer will get more hearts, which translates to bigger tips. If not satisfied at all, then they can lose the heart and leave the salon in dismay. At the end of every level, you must earn a required amount to move along. The money you earn can be used to hire new assistants and buy equipment that can improve the service of the salon and accommodate the needs of more customers. As you complete the different levels, you also get to move to new locations, from suburban mall to hotel.

Sally's Salon is similar to Diner Dash, wherein you have to manage your own time and provide the service to your customers. What PC gamers like about the game is that it is easy to play with customer feedback to give you a hint on the type of hairstyle they want. The graphics are good enough to show the different hairstyles. It is easy to earn more points, and use them to shop for new salon equipment. Overall, you can say that the game is fairly easy but still challenging as you move along. Perhaps the only disadvantage is that earning more points is so easy that you can easily complete the upgrades half-way through the round. The visual cues can still be improved. Some also look forward to hiring more assistants for help around the salon.

Of course, it's up to the age limit on up to when you can censor such contents. But, if I were you, I'd be cautious about giving the kids too much explicit games to play with. When I tried to play the Battle of Britain in my personal computer I couldn't stop. It's just one of those games that get you hooked, big time. But, since it was my first time to play the game, I didn't know how to target my enemies very well. I had to ask my cousin how to maneuver my aircraft. The Battle of Britain is an interesting game. It's very realistic and it has the most amazing missile bomb weapons I have ever encountered.

My demise was bombing with the Stuka. I did not know how to do a perfect weapon launching. I also did not know the right flight altitude. So, I had to ask my cousin again. A good hint that he gave was never to launch all your planes at once. This would enable you to have reserves. This would also serve as a diversion so the enemies would not focus on your air craft alone. You can also sneak into Britain's historic territory by flying under their radar. I suggest that you fly at a range of below 500 feet. This would give you the chance to do some counter attack. Also, if you want to bomb the enemy pilots, make sure that you launch your veteran pilots so you'll have a big chance for a battle victory.

In the past arcades were the places to be if you wanted to see and play the best games. In the times of the NES and other first-gen gaming consoles this was the time when you could only hope for arcade games to be translated at least de4cently well enough to play on these admittedly lower-powered machines.

But today one need only look at the gaming consoles available today and see that they match or even surpass arcade machines. With such power packed into consoles, are the days of the arcade numbered?

But there is one game I just can't bring myself to play again. Ever. And that game is Silent Hill for the Playstation. Yes, it's an old game, and yes, there may be other Silent Hill games out there, but for me, nothing compares to the original, with its eerie atmosphere and nightmarish imagery. How can you describe the fright you felt when you're engulfed in total darkness, with a small flashlight as your only way to navigate, and knowing that there are monsters, demons and ghostly babies about? You can't see them, but you know they're there. And that, my friend, is why I can't bring myself to even load the disc again. This game really gave me the willies.
