Last year saw a lot of exciting new game titles. Here are two games which, while very different in gameplay and content, are both wildly popular.
High-rated PC Game: The Sims 3
The Sims 3 was one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2009. Although The Sims 2 was already incredibly engaging, The Sims 3 goes even further by adding features that make playing The Sims more like real life than ever before. There are more options to fully customize your Sims appearance and personality. There are more skills for your Sim to learn and develop, such as cooking, painting, writing, and guitar playing. Even the work aspect of The Sims is more realistic, as you now see your Sim traveling to work and dealing with bosses and co-workers rather than just disappearing from his or her house. Combined with the improved graphics and additional expansions, the Sims 3 promises to be even more addicting than its already popular predecessors.
PC Game Review: Plants vs. Zombies
This little causal game was a runaway success, spawning an Internet following with fans making Facebook quizzes and even writing fanfiction about it. Although it has a very simple storyline—defend your house against zombies—the idea of doing so using plants apparently struck a chord with many casual game players. Each plant has their own way of defending against zombies, and the trick is to know how to successfully use plants in fending off a zombie invasion. Zombies with their own strengths and weaknesses, different terrain (or, in the game’s case, different parts of your house), and the absence of presence or sunshine add to the challenge of strategy. This game gives hours of fun, and the cutely designed plants and amusingly rendered zombies add to the overall experience.
Hopefully, 2010 will give us more entertaining PC game titles like these two!

Some PC games stood out in 2009. Here’s a review of some of them:
PC games review: StarCraft 2
StarCraft 2 is actually still a yet-to-be- released PC game. However, this early, it is already gaining major interests from StarCraft enthusiasts and gaming experts. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is a real-time strategy video game that emphasizes military science and war tactics. It is being developed by Activision Blizzard.
PC game review: Left for Dead 2
On the other hand, Left 4 Dead 2 is a first person shooter game developed by Valve Corporation. It was launched in November 2009. It is currently made for Xbox 360 consoles and computers running on Microsoft Windows operating system. The PC game focuses on the apocalyptic aftermath where there are only four human survivors. These survivors fight off infected humans.
Computer game review: Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins is also a popular computer game, released in November 2009 by BioWare. It is developed for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and computers that run on Microsoft Windows operating systems. The game is based on the RPG Dungeons and Dragons.

The next best thing after a brain-busting TextTwist is to slump on your chair and play Super Bounce Out on your PC. You can download a full version or play on line with this PopCap Game special. Do you know that it could reduce tension and pressure after work? And whenever I'll have a head-on collision with my wife, I could escape the domestic drama to relax and vent out through this game. What's special about it is you lose track of time. It doesn't require much of intellectual effort but only quick reflexes to get down with those balls. It's easy but challenging as well. You can always yield a high score and on each level, the time bomb is always on its verge of explosion. After every game, I feel renewed like fresh from a hot bath.
Saturday, April 21. 2007
You need an eye for details to master the game and a faster mouse control. Those fat-ass computer geeks will have to beef up their eye and hand coordination. Your aim is to break the structure of multi-colored balls. You need to arrange similar balls into three or more straight combinations before they bounce out along with other distracted balls. You just follow the same routine until you reach the specific number of goals. But if you fail to complete the challenge in time, you're stamped out of the game and will have to start again. Each triumphant play leads you to the next level. You think it's easy? Not all the time. It can sometimes be frustrating when balls are blaring out just right before your very eyes yet you failed to see it. So bounce with joy, bounce with delight and play!

I'm so bugged up with a stupid secretary and the uncooperative staff. They're missing the quotas and I'm getting the sack for all of it. Sluggish sales report? Jerk off!
I'm getting burnt out and I need to release this tension before I stiff to death with a heart attack. I've tried porn and all that stuff, but I can't seem to wipe it off my mind. My muscles and nerves were so tensed. I was in a flurry and I was having a hard time to even focus. Then I browsed the internet and saw the list of PopCap Games, and I dared to try it out.
I could no longer play the Text Twist. At times like this, I'm a mumbo dumbo. So I played Zuma instead. I thought it has a funny name and how weird it could be to have a frog spitting out balls. It's a no brainer so I tried to spin it round and round until the frog gets dizzy.
It's a maze wherein you'll have to eliminate the traps by scooping in balls of the same color and group them at least into three. Now, I've never seen a game this easy since Pin the Donkey's Tail. All you need is a quick eye and a quick mouse stroke. Before I knew it, I was already spending four hours in my game seat. To give it a challenge, I entered Gauntlet mode to test my skill and speed
I have gotten to love Zuma. I know it's sleazy, but isn't games supposed to relieve you of that stress? Zuma was able to the exactly.

Even with a high-edge game console and portable links, I cannot dare give up the thrill and excitement of playing on line. The same virtual mode, visual appeal, and challenge. But what makes it tougher is having to rely on a team of other players. For long, virtual games have been exposed to criticism and hurled with blames for sex and violence. Can't we at least give it some credit?
The interactive mode of playing doesn't solely reflect on domination but cooperation as well. Often times, the roles you play will have a great value of teetering success on other team members. All the more that it diversifies the gaming mode and flexibility stunts.
My brother John, who's only 15, met her girlfriend Tateeh while playing on line. Tateeh's new on the game so she depended more on John for details and guidance. Playing as a team for almost a month, they took their harmonious partnership into a real-life love affair. Once I asked Tateeh "So what made you fall for John, you're not even sure if he's a lunatic?". And she said "Well, while playing I saw that he's very responsible and often times yielding, so long as it will lead us to victory. He's man enough than most people I know!"
As a player, I could attest that PC games are more than just a venue for addiction. It builds up character and creativity. It's less physical than contact sports, but it fosters interaction, hence cooperation, assumption of responsibility, and instinctive strike for victory. It's something that's electrifying and enhancing. I won't talk you into playing one, but if you are already hooked, I can only say- Well boys, it's time to bring them down!

Can you imagine your computer without a any game downloaded in it? The general answer tot his query would be a "no". When I was still a student I love my Apple desktop computer because it enables me to create good projects. Of course, the primary purpose of computers may vary depending on the profession and hobbies of one person. Still and all, we have come to accept that computers are a good pastime, too.
Whenever boredom kills me, I never forget to remember a simple game - Windows Freecell. Because it is a free game primarily intended for Windows users, almost every desktop in the world has it. Unlike in Solitaire, every game in Freecell is winnable. It all depends on how the player use his/her strategies. This is exactly why I love this game. Being more complex than Minesweeper and Solitaire, this game stimulates my mind and elicits challenge.
Partly because of its challenging nature, this game is not as popular as some of the other free games for windows. I guess this game is only for great minds. Pardon me, but this is not for no-brainers. It is definitely a fun, free, and good time killer. However, I must say that it has one disadvantage, that is the game is very addictive.

I play the NeoPets game in my personal computer. It's a game that you usually end up playing if you get bored with whatever you're doing. So, it must mean that I'm always bored since I scope out cheats for this game. Nah, the game just grew on me and I actually like this game as much as I like all other mainstream games.
Playing this game is not complicated. PC games are usually the easiest games to cheat on. You can pause your game for awhile and do some internet browses for some good game cheats. To raise your points a hundred times higher, you gotta' know where the real points are. The fishnegg would give you a lot of points. What you do is you eat the fishnegg and you instantly get 50 points. The highest points are in the Whack-A-Kass. If you get a Whack-A-Kass, you get 900 points! Damn! It's a pot of gold. You could also try out the Wheel of Excitement. You can win the highest jackpot worth 10,000 Neopoints.
If you want to defeat Wicked Lenny, you can feed him the spooky food. That would spook him out for good. In the battledome, you have got to defeat Kasuki Lu with a Heeyah! Just make sure that you load up with points so you can reach the highest game level. The NeoPets game has so many secrets, you gotta have a few tricks up your sleeve.

As a kid, I would always dream of being an architect or an engineer. Well, it turns out that I am not that good in math and I am not that skilful in drawing and sketching. So, that dream is way off my league now. I am very much into personal computer games, though. I am proud to say that I excel in computer games.
When I heard about the City Life game, I was really excited to get my hands on it. It is a game about building cities and edifices. I could not believe that there is going to be a game about building, well, buildings. Anyway, I am very much looking forward for this game to come out. It was announced to be released on April 12, 2006. So, by now, I guess, this rad game is ready for some serious download action. The download time is 1,405.2 minutes. You can download it at 566 kbps. The game's file size is understandable enough at 494 MB.
Also, the City Life game does not require too much. If you have a Windows XP program, you can automatically download this cool game. The game is developed by no other than Monte Cristo. So, I would expect this game to be very interesting and worthy of our download time.

I have made so much personal computer downloads that my PC could breakdown any second! But, cool downloadable games are such a blast. I have tried every PC game there is. My current favorite is the Alkaline Trio Emo game. Man, that game is such a riot to play.
Well, since I have downloaded everything, there's still one game left and I already downloaded it. The South Park cartoon happens to be my favorite television show. But, is the game worth the download? The South Park game is not at all as I had expected it to be. Although I had a few laughs with it, it was not that action-packed game that I had wanted it to be.
Having seen the South Park movie, I thought that the game would have the same theme. The South Park PC game is just like the cartoon. It is not a three dimensional thing. Also, you are bound to get killed in this game because as you shoot, the enemies come right at you. The enemies hardly get killed. But, there's still the same old South Park humor that comes along with it. It's all up to you if you want to download this game or not. I just hope that they improve on its technique and scenes.

I like horror flicks and mentally challenging flicks. How fun would it be if you get to play games that are like the Silence of the Lambs which is the greatest thriller movie of all times, if I may add. Playing this kind of games would certainly make you excited and suspenseful, all at the same time. It is really a change of pace from other PC games like Counter strike.
The Pathologic game is a personal computer game that is the latest of its kind. It deals with the player's "state of mind". It is set on a horror pace, which is a good thing. It is a dramatic type of game. It is not at all about action and combats. It is like being dragged into your own pathological movie. The plot ending would depend on how you have handled yourself in the game. It is a first-person game, so you really get challenged and hyped on the intensity of the game.
It's an intellectual game, actually. The time setting of the game is flexible. This would really allow you to visualize yourself in the game's plot. Also, there are several endings of the game whatever you decide on and there are corresponding endings that you would encounter.

I am constantly searching for something new to occupy myself during my free time, at work. I spend almost the whole day in front of my personal computer, so I have got to do something when I get bored. The game that everyone plays on their computers is Solitaire. Well, I have played Solitaire for far too long, so I need something new and something far more challenging than a deck of cards.
Alas, I stumbled upon Text Twist. Well, my officemate was playing it once, so I kind of pitched in a couple of words. I honestly enjoyed the game and I cannot get enough of it. Everyday, I need a daily dose of Text Twist. It is very challenging and very knowledgeable, at the same time. It is quite easy to play. All you need to do is to spell out the jumbled letters within a certain amount of time. It's just like boggle, only better.
Text Twist would really enhance your knowledge for words and your time management skills because you'd learn how to work under pressure more. So, if you have not tried out Text Twist, you should. It's certainly a brain-enhancer for everyone. The Text Twist is compatible in any type of computer. It is even applicable in several PDA phones or palm pilots. It just serves people right to be able to access this cool game on any electronic device. The Text Twist is that kind of game that would keep you guessing until the last letter. Enjoy!

If you like Harry Potter so much, you will definitely love Keepsake Ships. It is an entrancing magical personal computer game that everyone would surely enjoy. This game is now available in all game stores nationwide. I tried to play it once with my cousin and when I got home, I realized that I really wanted that game for myself, too. So, the next day, I got one for myself. Keepsake Ships is a really refreshing game. It is not gruesome and violent. This game would also make you think and strategize.
Keepsake Ships is focused on Lydia. Lydia is a student of magic who takes on an adventure in Dragonvale Academy. She would try to unfold the mysteries about her academy and her other Dragonvale Academy scholar friends. She would also search for her missing best friend, Celeste. This game is like a magical Hollywood movie with a twist of 3d technology.
If you want to be like Harry Potter and Detective Sherlock Holmes, all in one, you have to play Keepsake Ships. You would be transported to another magical world of enchantment, fairytales, and mysteries.

Still can't get enough of your favorite games? Then, check out one of the newest action-packed adventures around. From Bethesda Softworks, the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is currently among the newest and hottest game picks.
This Oblivion game is set in Cyrodiil, the capital province of Tamriel. Your mission as a player is to search for the hidden successor to the throne, which was left empty after the emperor's assassination. Following the death of Cyrodiil's emperor, the gates of the province are also opened thus allowing the devils to attack the land and its inhabitants. You must then look for the missing heir as fast as you can.
Aside from its interesting and exciting storyline like that of a movie's, the game is also worth playing with its various features. During the game, you are given the chance to play according to your own level and pace. Besides, the game offers a wide range of worlds and secrets that you can and must explore. What makes Oblivion very interesting is its AI system or Radiant Ai that allow NPC's (non-player characters) to choose freely. This feature does make the game more exciting. Oblivion is a game that you'll definitely enjoy.

Emo Music is so in right now. I just love this new genre of music wherein angst and comedic lyrics mix very well. There are so many great emo bands right now. There's Taking Back Sunday, Coheed and Cambria, The Ataris, and much more. Of course, the Alkaline Trio is one of the very best out there. That's why I tried out their online game. I wanted to know if it's as fun and as radical as their music. Well, once I tried it, I can never get enough of it. It's pretty much like the Emo Game Original, but it's story line is just bizarre and funny.
If you like Wayne's World and Beavis and Butthead, you'll surely love the Alkaline Trio Emo Online Game. There are three parts of it actually. But, I'm more into the first installation. All you need is a fast internet access and a cool computer and you're off to the Alkaline Trio world. This game has a very unique and hysterical storyboard. It's also not so hard to play because the instructions are crystal clear. You can easily download it from its web site. This game doesn't take too much effort and it's very user-friendly. The first time I played it, I immediately got addicted. There are no complications whatsoever. The game is well-worth the download and the time.

Of all the online games I have played, the Emo Game Original is the coolest. I happen to like emo punk music a lot. So, this game is just perfect for me. Even if you don't dig Emo punk music, the emo game original would just get you addicted. There's a short story before you play the game. The get-up kids (an Emo punk band), gets kidnapped while performing their songs onstage. From there, the adventure continues.
The Emo game original is also an arcade game. But, you can download it in your own personal computers. It's a fun game. It's fairly easy to follow and play. You don't have to worry about punching in too much code. You also do not need to press too much keys. It's quite relaxing and it's absolutely funny. If you're into rock music, or any music for that matter, this game is totally for you. Steven Tyler of the famous rock band Aerosmith plays a big role in this hilarious game. I tell you, it's just a blast to play this game. Whenever you feel like putting those idle fingers into good use, play this game. It will definitely save ample time for you. You won't have to wait for a long time for this cool downloaded game. This game is just too good to be true. It's funny, it's entertaining, and it's simple.

The first PC game that I got so addicted to was Counter Strike. It had all the ingredients that you're looking for in an ultimate action-packed PC game. Until now, I play Counter Strike every now and then. But then, if you get used to it, you'll end up looking for something else and something fresh. I stumbled upon this new game "Battle of Europe". This game is really something. It has a fresh new concept in PC games. The developer is MAUS and the publisher is Strategy First.
This game is available on the internet and it's very downloadable. The file size is 264 MB and you'll be able to download it in approximately 750.9 minutes at a kbps of 56. The only system required for this game is Windows.
A brief summary of this game is that it's set in the World War ll. There are mission trainings at the "Hawker Typhoon". There's an assault mission in "Tirpirtz" in the Bristol Beaufighter. This is The Battle of Europe because it takes place in the skies of Europe. There are also battle scenes over London, Norway, Berlin, and Dunkirk. So, if you're into the European history, you better try out this cool PC game. All you have to do is make a PC game download and you're off!

Virtually all electronic gadgets and high-tech devices can now be connected. Latest cellular phones can communicate with computers and grocery store sensors in making transactions. Money transfers from ATMs can be wired using PDAs. Electric bills can be paid using laptop computers. Bluetooth and WiFi technologies are slowly stripping the wires from the formerly stationary work stations. Wireless technology allowed mobile and efficient connectivity. Today, the distinctions among the different devices are continually being blurred. The different functions of separate devices are being integrated almost seamlessly. Cellular phones, for instance, are now capable of taking photographs and video similar to digital cameras. PDAs are now becoming more capable of processing data similar in capacity to desktop computers.
Digital games are now very realistic in simulating the real world that playing them is like watching a movie that you are directing. One PC game directly adapted from the movies is The Godfather game version. Most of the digital characters are patterned from the original actors who starred in the first godfather movie. The game recreates New York City from 1945 to 1955. The game is 80% on-foot action and 20% in vehicles. Gamers are equipped with vehicles and weapons appropriate for the period. You play by guiding the young mobsters in their exploits to dominate the organized crime business of New York. The main protagonists, of course, are the members of the Corleone family headed by Don Vito Corleone.

Personal computers are not only tools for serious pursuits such as research or software development. Personal computers are also entertainment consoles that can provide rewarding leisure time. You may download and listen to music, watch full-length movies and video clips and chat with online users. Personal computers are interactive devices that can expand the horizon of your experience without physically living the comfort of your home. Geographical boundaries and distance, cultural differences, and religious beliefs are transcended by the use of personal computers. You may interact with other people half around the globe using your online desktop or laptop personal computer. This can be one through chatting or online games.
Online games, in particular are competitive and entertaining activities. Online games can take you to different adventures and thrills without exposing you to actual dangers. You can be a SWAT team member at one time, combating terrorists and criminal elements. You can be a gallant knight in armor, protecting the noble maidens and castles from dark lords and dragons at another time. You can relive historical events though PC games. One PC game that involves tactics is Rome: Total War. It involves historical details as well as ancient Roman military maneuvers. You will be like a Roman general in command of legions.

Real life can sometimes be boring especially if you are just an office worker who is virtually chained and imprisoned in your office cubicle for 48 hours a week. Most of us are dreaming of more adventure than simply tapping at the keyboard or filling out endless volumes of forms. The routine tasks of everyday can be truly stressful and monotonous. Most of us are maybe physically seating at our desk but our mind is engaged in other place. Not all of us can afford to live a life like Indiana Jones and seek ancient relics and treasures in exotic places, defying danger. The most life threatening ordeal we might encounter within a day may just be flesh wounds from paper cuts.
Never despair. Adventure can still be experienced by ordinary paper pushers like you and me. Thanks to modern technology. We can act out our fantasies of combat without dodging actual bullets. We can go to distant places and futuristic settings right at the comfort of our office cubicle or our home. Depending on the computer connection speed, we may experience different worlds through our desktop computers. There are straightforward adventure games that can be played in our PCs such as Mortal Combat and Counter Strike. There are also role playing games that can be played online that will challenge you intellectually like Tantra.

Quake 4 was released last November and it was, I'd say, one of the most superb PC games of the Quake series. Fans will simply adore this animated game--there's nothing short of action-packed sweet revenge on the Stroggs territory--at least nothing so bloody has been done so far. The graphics of this game will transport you to an Xbox-ish atmosphere: intensely loud, complex, and utterly overwhelming.
This time the story revolves around Matthew Caine's adventure as a Strogg captive that became a new bionic enhancement of the old Caine--he can now speak the Stroggs language as a weapon to use against the invaders. There are multiplayer modes for this game, and the control for the Logitech mouse and keyboard are easy to manipulate. Quake freaks are definitely in for a blast.

There's nothing like a good subtext to justify all the killing involved in first-person shooter game. I'm one of those few people who haven't read the sci-fi novel but liked the movie. I can't imagine a better enemy than bugs to nuke, could you?
The game version of the novel and movie is played with keyboard and mouse, and the boredom does not stop there. Besides the danger of eventually developing carpal tunnel syndrome, which you probably won't because of how badly this game was conceptualized, there is also the danger of giving up on PC shooter games altogether.
The back story of Starship Troopers is replete with interesting subtexts like military politics and international relations, not to mention interesting details such as weaponry and bug species that would have made game playing more enjoyable if the makers had been more into the story. And that's just it. The main problem of Starship Troopers is that the producers didn't seem to give a hoot about either the novel or the movie at all. They are content to fill the screen with bugs to kill. Child's play.

This sequel to the popular Battlefield series of games (despite its title, it's actually the third installment in the series) once more immerses the player into a chaotic and unpredictable war zone, where teams of soldiers attempt to conquer as much ground as possible and blast their opponents to kingdom come.
With better graphics and sound, Battlefield 2 is an immersive gaming experience, requiring teamwork and coordination to win the day. The lone wolf tactics of other FPS war games simply won't work here. The major improvement of Battlefield 2, aside from its bells and whistles, is the emphasis on chain of command. In a team, one player acts as a commander, with a bird's eye view of the action and the ability to use artillery and other support methods such as medical supply drops and spy drones. He gives the orders, and it falls to the squad leaders to execute them properly. And it will take a perfect coordination from all players to take the day.
Battlefield 2 is a game that simple writing will not justify. Give the game a try, and see, hear and feel the war for yourself.

With this specially-priced game ($19.99) players can now live out their city-siege fantasies ever since they saw the movie Troy starring Brad Pitt and Eric Bana. Battle for Troy is yet another RTS (Real Time Strategy) game dealing with Trojan and Greek battles this time around.
Players can choose either the Greek or Trojan campaigns, which are played out over the backdrop of the Trojan War (of course). Missions tend to be very simple, like defending a target, rescuing a target, etc. As per other games, there are hero units and other special Trojan- or Greek-only units.
Battle for Troy is a simple RTS game that ultimately fails to upstage the other RTS games of its genre. Better travel to Greece to experience the history behind this game instead.

Zombies have always been cast as the villain in video games. Either they're getting their brains blown out by tight-shirted babes or chowing down on some hapless hero, zombies have always been something to kill or be killed by, not something to play as...Until now.
Far from any Italian movie set comes Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse. This darkly funny, engrossing (emphasis on gross) movie-like game puts players in the rotting carcass of one Stubbs, a newly raised member of the recently living-challenged club. Here you'll face the challenges of being one of the living dead, what with those human pricks trying to blast you to pieces. On the upside is the ability to use your head (and various other body parts) to deal with your foes, and to chow down on the humans and turn them into zombies as well!
Overall, Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse is a great game, with high marks in every category, except length. It's just too damn short for such a fun game.
