GameHouse has offered many popular casual games over the years. Here are two top titles that you might find fun to play!
Jewel Quest
This puzzle game comes with gameplay mechanics seen in so many others: make a line of 3 or more similar items by clicking on the items to move their positions. However, Jewel Quest stands out because of its excellent graphics, as well as an exciting storyline rarely seen in casual gaming. By clearing each stage, you learn more about the Indiana Jones-like character’s quest for a lost temple filled with hidden treasures. The game has grown popular enough to spawn two more sequels, with puzzles just as challenging as the original.
Farm Frenzy 3
Fourth in Alawar Entertainment’s very successful Farm Frenzy series, Farm Frenzy 3 retains the fun elements that made its predecessors so popular. You’ll still have all the fun and excitement of managing your farm under time pressure, with the added boost of new locations and animals. Instead of being restricted to one village or town, like in the previous Farm Frenzy titles, you get to manage farms around the world. This lets you raise typical farm animals such as geese, as well as more exotic wildlife like penguins. Different challenges also come up with lions and other predators in addition to the familiar Farm Frenzy bears. New 3-D graphics also enhance the Farm Frenzy gaming experience, and new characters as well as a backstory make achieving your farm’s goals even more fun. This game has something to offer Farm Frenzy fans, as well as newcomers to the franchise.
Casual gaming has grown to offer players more than mindless clicking. Although there is a lot of clicking involved with both these games, they combine it with a lot of fun and a need for strategy.

Since these gaming consoles were launched, they’ve been head to head in “friendly” competition. They’ve gained a loyal following from gaming enthusiasts who continually debate on which is the better gaming console.
Features of Playstation 3
Playstation 3 is the third outing of the Sony Computer Entertainment gaming console. The key features of the Playstation 3 are its multimedia capabilities, network gaming through Playstation Network, and online gaming services. Playstation 3 also using Blu-ray discs as its primary storage system.
Features of Xbox 360
On the other hand, the Xbox 360 is the 2nd version of this Microsoft gaming console. The Xbox 360 also features online gaming and network gaming possibilities. You can also get online to download game demos, play games, and watch trailers, television shows, and movies in real-time. The focal feature of the Xbox 360 is the Windows Media Center, which enables the console to do its multimedia functions.
Which is the better game console?
Initially, while the gaming feel and control of Playstation 3 were well-received, it received negative reviews for having limited playable games. This soon changed, and Playstation 3 is now widely lauded as a great follow up to PS2. The Xbox 360, on the other hand, is still crippled by a few technical problems. The console suffers from high failure rate.

For play station fans, and to this I agree, the most common idea of a pumped-up adrenaline rush is racing or action story videos. Who wouldn’t be caught up with the fad after we’ve outgrown the SuperMario Brothers? There’s so much fantasy and realistic spiels that you’ll even crack cheat codes just so you’ll play better and win.
But if there’s one thing I didn’t dare to unravel, next to Da Vinci Code, it is Tennis 2k2. Watching Steffi Graff in a few court slams was the closest thing I got to tennis. Well, it obviously changed after I played this PS2 game. I found just the right challenge for me to win and lose at the same time.
It may be a lousy game for some but believe me, when I started to play, I felt so frustrated that I promised myself one thing: I’ll get my virtual opponent the next time and smash the ball into his face! Unlike in basketball or football, you’ll be able to control the environment in a one-on-one duel. After playing for different tournaments, you’ll learn how to use speed and power instinctively. Later on, you’ll play by intuition and be able to calculate every swing. That’s were energy’s flowing.
With every opponent toppled down and tournament conquered, I’ve somehow figured how to counter and anticipate players’ moves. I even found it more interactive and real than NBA Live. I just wish they’ll come up with a new game series with tougher plays and strategies. I’m definitely a Tennis 2k2 junkie!

If you like horse racing game simulation, the best title that can offer you the most fun is Tecmo's Gallop Racer 2006. Though in the past, there were quite a few games like these, this new computer game is different. It does not only involve making turns around the track but also lets you breed the best possible horse, shatter records, win cups, and ultimately, sire a whole line of champions.
To give you an idea of the various types of horses that you can breed and race, the animals are rated based on stamina, ferocity, speed, tenacity, response, courage, staying power, response time, running style, growth type, and distance aptitude. Basically, every horse is distinct, and it's quite difficult to take in all the different symbols and numbers that you have to analyze and consider when taking a look at a horse's statistics sheet. If you're a newbie to play this game, you would find it quite overwhelming to understand the statistics on the menus; however, you just need to be patient at the start of the racing game. One tip for those who really dig this kind of game: strongly whip the horse to accelerate its speed.
You may also choose dozens of distinct race tracks. However, one shortcoming of this video game is its quite dull interface. The graphics are quite unrealistic. Another flaw of this game is the complicated menus within the amusement park because you can spend a lot of time just referencing the manuals of this game. Hence, Gallop Racer 2006 is quite mediocre but just alright for those horse racing buffs.

The high-octane adventure of Pixar's "Cars" is now brought into the realm of computer games. "Cars" is certainly a child-oriented video game that offers the humor, fun, excitement, and exhilarating rush that the movie version has provided. The addition of voice talents of the original actors who are featured in the movie is also cool. It is like watching the part two of the cartoon film.
I hope you already watched the cool animation movie so that you know the background of the game. This one is pretty much a car racing game where characters like Lightning McQueen and the others are running their engines in the town of Radiator Spring. It is a pretty simplistic game because its target market are the kids. The menus are easy to use and the controls are very friendly.
The excellent animation, pumped-up sounds, and the total adrenaline rush of gameplay make this video game another big hit this year. You will surely like the cute and expressive facial reactions of the computer game's characters while playing it. The colorful and vivid environment of Radiator Spring is quite realistic and detailed. Indeed, the ten hours that it takes to complete the game are worth the fun!

Modern computer games are marked with spectacular animation, graphics, game play, and story. If these are the criteria that make a game great and cool, then there are many games out there who qualify. I guess one of these would have to be "Half-life: Episode 1", an excellent and satisfying video game.
In Episode 1, the gamer takes the role of Gordon Freeman. He finds himself in the Black Mesa research facility. After completing the first game, he encounters G-man for the first time. G-man tells the gamer that he is to be used for certain 'services'. Then the gamer soon winds up on a train heading to City number 17, where he would be used for the previously mentioned services. Along the journey, the gamer meets many friends, including the cute and helpful Alyx Vance. After evading the Combine, he makes it all the way up to the Citadel to deal with G-Man again. Episode 1 features the gamer's challenging fights just moments after this encounter.
Indeed, " Half-Life 2" offers a fast-paced and exciting action ride game. There are new team and group dynamics that make you enjoy the battle. Dialogues are really catchy and the sounds make you feel as if you're really fighting evil aliens. Because it is very fast-paced, you would keep itching for adventure despite its short time duration.

Though we are now in the 3D world of animation and video games, I still prefer those traditional 2D graphics that I used to enjoy before when I was playing the very fun and exciting Super Mario Brother games. Now, thanks to Nintendo, maker of Super Mario Brothers, a new and exciting game play awaits one in Yoshi Island. This new computer game is full of adventures and action with the amiable lizard named Yoshi as the leading character. Actually, my most beloved computer character Luigi and Mario are included here, but the adventure is all about Yoshi.
Yoshi is a goody lizard that helps Mario fight enemies and journeys through eight levels of exciting escapades in the quest to rescue Luigi, who was taken by evil monsters. Yoshi has a lot of pretty cool capabilities. Depending on the gamer's level of control, Yoshi can run speedily, jump, stomp, and strike out enemies with his powerful tongue. He can also fly but be sure that you hold the button firmly or he falls with Mario.
This game has very visually stimulating graphics and a colorful background environment. The game play is exhilarating, too. The creatures present here are really cute and very animated. The sound is catchy and the overall music perfectly fits into the computer game's theme. Indeed, this is another cool game worthy to be part of your collection. You would certainly reward yourself after you finish the different stages of the cute lizard's adventure.

There's a number of different modern computer games that are available in the market. Well, I am a type of person who digs a game that has a great storyline and plot. Though I also take note of the intensity of the game play, I get more hooked to a game if its story follows an adventure plot and is filled with action. One game that has these elements is Legend of the Dragoon.
The story begins with a boy named Dart; he finds out his girlfriend has been captured by evil monsters. Playing the game, you'll suddenly find yourself in the middle of a great story about Winglies, and humans trying to co-exist. Through spells and magic, a human also turns into a dragoon. Fight scenes are really engrossing. You have your basic combat attack items as well as supernatural magic available to you. In this game, you have to hit the button at the right time to do a perfect attack, which at first is hard. In the later part of the game, you will get more additions that give you more spirit points and more strength. Along the process you will meet around 11 playable characters that each have a dragon which governs a specific element.
The graphics in this game are really good quality. The towns and villages looks realistic. Though the sound of this game is not that catchy (unlike Final Fantasy), it will still not affect the coolness of the game. Hence, this video game is highly addictive. With its 4 discs, you'll know that it is quite a huge game. Well, it took me about 50 hours to complete the game so it's highly addictive. Indeed, overall, this RPG is really an awesome playstation game!

Familiar with the film Top Gun that starred Hollywood's finest actor Tom Cruise as Maverick? Now, after some years, this action-packed movie is put into the realm of computer games. Though I really admire the film, Top Gun the video game has a couple of glitches that I think hard core gamers will find unbelievable. One conspicuous glitch of this video game is the graphics. The jet fighters do not look cool and the environment -- man, these are composed of bland-colored clouds! When it comes to sounds, the sound score in the intro of the video game is the only sound that is familiar with the great movie. Throughout the entirety of this game, the sound becomes repetitively monotonous and the conversations between pilots are also redundant.
When it comes to game play, Top Gun is, unfortunately, not that cool enough. The mission contains little or no challenge at all. The moment you finish one mission, the next one will just be reminiscent of the previous, only the jet fighter you are riding changes. The controls of this game are very simple that no skill is virtually developed. Though there are numerous number combats, as I said before, your interest will evaporate after the 3rd mission because things will just be repeated. Hence, I do not want to further comment because I would rather watch the flick version over and over than play this video game.

There are different genres of modern computer games available in the market. My nerdy cousin, who is just 7 years old, is very fond of Trivia games. So when I found this latest Trivia game from Nintendo called Big Brain Academy in a video game store, I immediately bought one. My cousin was ecstatic about it. The moment I showed the pack to her, she immediately grabbed it and installed it in her Nintendo DS. When I saw her very much preoccupied playing with the game, I got curious and then helped her.
Playing Big Brain Academy really reminded me of those elementary placement exams. Basically, the game is divided into five different categories: think, analyze, memorize, identify, and compute. Each has three different activities attached to them. In "think," players accomplish min-cell activating games like Heavyweight, a challenge where players look at the on-screen characters standing on scales and distinguish which of the characters has the heaviest weight. For "memorize", the players are challenged to remember certain visuals or sounds, like a bunch of numbers or a grouping of animals. "Compute" requires the players to do simple mathematical problems spelled out in number sentence or identify which set of coins retains the largest value. "Analyze" involves determining the number of cubes are in a stack or matching a drawn-line in a trace-a-dot program. "Identify" contains colorful graphics. This section requires players to figure out things based on their spinning silhouettes, or tap out matching items in a grid.
The graphics are simple cartoons and the sounds are matched to its visuals. The game play is challenging and will really stimulate players to think and think again. Though it's not a 'wow' trivia game, I still like it because of its colorful and peppy environment. This game is absolutely perfect for growing kids!

I must admit that even though I'm a full grown adult, I still dig cartoons and comics. One of my favorites is Teen Titans (well, I'm still a "teen" at heart]. I was ecstatic when I found out that they are now available in video game. Actually, I immediately bought one in a video store before other kids could take all of them.
Teen Titans (PS2 game) is really enjoyable to play. The plot of this adventure game is simple: the team, which is composed of Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy Robin, and Raven, is transported to the video game realm controlled by villainous beings. They have to fight different evil monsters to proceed to various levels until they ultimately reach the "Final Chief" of the adventure game.
The images are vividly colorful plus the fantastic three-dimensional animation is very entertaining. The total magnet of this game is its superb sound effects. You will be really engrossed. The game play is really exciting plus the Japanese music underscored in each scenes brings in some anime flavor to the game. Indeed, if you are the kind of adult who still digs cartoons such as this one, try to play it and it will really give you mindless fun plus it'll take your stress away.

If you are a type of computer game fanatic who prefers a computer game that is not only graphically amusing and fun to play, but also driven by a wonderful plot and abundant with realistic and moving characters, Rogue Trooper certainly is the perfect choice. Based on a hit British comic series, Rouge Trooper offers an exciting battle scenes and huge satisfying game play which will surely get you hooked.
This battle game will surely bring out the killer instincts in you. All the weapons are at your disposal, like high tech guns, grenades and artillery. You can also opt for a more intimate and personal way to kill your enemy like strangulation. The game has you moving from checkpoint to checkpoint, chopping or sniping down Nort soldiers as you go. While there is the opportunity to sneak about a bit (stealth kills are rewarded with extra salvage points, which allow weapon upgrades and ammo to be manufactured for use) or man anti-aircraft emplacements, you cannot quite succeed in stopping a little boredom creeping in.
The strong musical score and some solid voice work throughout the game will surely bolster your playing experience. Even though I find the chatter during the mission quite cheesy, I still dig the music and effects. Indeed, this is another enjoyable third-person action game.

Before, my ambition was to be an architect because I am amazed how my uncle designs buildings and offices. However, when I found out in a high school placement test that my aptitude was not that suitable to become an architect, I aborted the plan. But I still designed in my own mind my own future establishments and even concocted my dream estate.
Finally, there is a cool video game that unleashes the architect in me, City Life. This city-constructing game does not only challenge one to build a city but also helps me manage other elements of urban development like financial administration, peace and order, and investments and settler beautification (take that). I suddenly found myself not only the architect of a metropolis but also the mayor or the governor that runs it. It's really fun!
The City Life game provides realistic and detailed 3D graphical images. You would have lots of freedom in designing your own metropolis. It would also hone your skills in financial administration, perfect for those who dream of becoming a governor. Be sure you know what you are doing 'cause the virtual populace in your virtual city can protest and even engage in civil disturbance activities.

My nephew bought this new video game called Monster Hunter. I, being also a video game fanatic tried to play this together with my nephew in the couch. This is surely another addictive video game, folks! Number one feature that you will dig about this video game is the colorful, realistic, and seemingly live graphic interface. So, for the visual appetite, Monster Hunter is quite something.
It's not a typical RPG video game in the sense that there are no level up features. Instead, the player should visit dangerous zones filled with dreadful monsters. Here, you need to accumulate resources that eventually you will use to make more potent and powerful weapons. It also offers a different fighting system for every armor. Weapons include hammers, swords, crossbows, and lances.
However, I was confused the first time I played this because of some complexities. I really found the using of weapons difficult. Also, the game does not provide online multi-player support which could have been perfect with this type of play. But overall, my nephew and I enjoyed Monster Hunter because of the fun encounters and adventures to the dinosaurs and captors. I suggest that you play this game if you wish to indulge the child in you.

My cousin and I always play ping pong or table tennis every time I visit their house. At an early age, I'm amazed that this sport enthusiast kid got what it takes to be the next table tennis super star (By the way, he has Chinese descent and her father is an excellent table tennis player too). Actually, I'm the one catching my breath every time we play. Because of that, he inspired me to buy this new video game called Table Tennis by Rockstar, for me to practice my ping pong skills.
This Rockstar developed video game which has better and quite realistic graphics. The sound effects are excellent. The variations of different tones from table and every halls plus the rising and falling of the crowd or audience noise depending on the player's fortune, will give you a realistic experience and atmosphere in playing the game. It is like the video game Pong but it's more enjoyable to play. Thanks to its control depth, you can softly strike the ball and also easily spin it, too.
The visual aspect and the interface of this video game are quite similar to Pong. However, details are excellently captured. Camera shots can be set near or far but it's better to opt for far viewing because it's more realistic. But then again, you need to squint a little for you to take heed of the angle spin.

I am a great football fanatic and I have played the said game way back in college. Now I can no longer play the real stuff that is why I got hooked with modern computer games that feature football which is indeed an entirely playable. I have been playing this game throughout the year and have followed all of the game's seasons or series which never fail to amaze and perhaps the rest of the computer games addicts out there.
Unlike the 2005 series, this one features all sorts of improvements such controls for ball passing that have just debuted. Although the essentials or basics of the games are still incorporated, other added features make this latest computer game really exciting. Such added features include shifts for formation, routes, quarterbacks, and a so much more. Although I find this series, which seemed to have started on the wrong foot, adventurous it is quite just almost the same as the previous one. Nevertheless, what makes this series truly great are the many features which cannot be found in the other series. With so many game guides available and at hand, there is no reason, for me to lose in the game.

I just love this game! It isn't fairly new for me, but I bet it is for you! This is the epitome of a real role playing game, and another factor which would boost its ratings is that its on PC! In this game, you are a well-respected assassin who moves with his own righteous purpose, and sometimes hired by a government organization to do their bidding, their purposes of which is of even higher righteousness. Plus, you have missions all over the world, starting from Mafia-land, which is Italy in case you don't know, and Siberia, which is in Russia.
Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. Yes, that would be a killer title for an equally killer game. The graphics and visual effects are intense, playability's insane, and the fun factor is out of this world! Add up the game's storyline, and you have something that doesn't even need to be made into a movie to become a blockbuster flick! With ratings at the end of each mission, I find myself being tagged as a mass murderer! This is so untrue, 'cause I just kill the cooks with my kitchen knife and shoot the housemaids with my twin ballers, you know, so that they won't squeal on me! Very tricky puzzles, requires mastery of stealth tactics very much unlike Metal Gear Substance, and a killer of a plot to go with a helluva game! 5 stars for this one, another 5 for the 3rd release, if possible!

The Constantine movie's video game version was released on 2005. The action packed PC game stars Keanu Reeves who plays the role of detective John Constantine, a modern day exorcist, who literally goes in and out of hell in order to redeem souls or simply mock the devil. The hero's mission is mainly to address the mysteries of mortal plane dwelling demons and the murder of a half-angel. One can expect all sorts of ugly creatures in Constantine. These scavengers of the damned or seplavites are hell's soldiers who interfered Constantine's mission.
The video game is available for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC. Constantine contains the entire feature from the movie like zoom and slow-motion effects. You can also do things like jumping and climbing; these are automated, meaning you just run at holes and Constantine jumps them. Running into the side of a box at just the right angle will cause him to mount it and continue on his journey with a little more height. There are nice touches here, though. A tap on the spacebar will solve any spooky sounds heard sneaking up behind you - Constantine spins 180 in a split second with gun drawn and time slows to give you a couple second's advantage.
Also, minor details add up, like swinging over the tops of ledges and fences then jumping off: no need to climb all the way down the other side. This all compiles to form manageable, if not perfect, controls... getting around is not a problem after an hour or so, but it does require a learning period. However, Constantine's voice does not sound like Keanu's, but the background music are taken from the movie. The story is the main catch here. Those who really enjoyed the movie may find themselves craving for some demon fights in the video game version.

I never let my kid cousin play online games that are too violent. I don't even allow him to play PlayStation 2 games that are not suitable for his age. So, I looked for some kid-friendly online games foe him to enjoy.
Of course, what's the best company which offers fun and kid-friendly entertainment? There's the Disney Animation Company. You can never go wrong with Disney to provide safe games and entertainment for the youngsters.
The ToonTown Online game is a Disney game. I tried to play it and it's a very light game for the kids, even I enjoyed its concept. You can customize and select your own colors, background, appearance features, and costumes for your toon character. All the characters are of course, animals. They actually resemble the likes of Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and the other Disney characters. It's a modern 3D game which is not at all complicated to play. The instructions are very easy to follow and the controls are basic. There are no violent remarks by the characters and they don't kill each other. Don't you think that it's the perfect game for all the kids?

Playboy: The Mansion is probably the most loved video game by older men. This game answers the sexual fantasy of most men to visit or live in the mansion Hugh Hefner built for all his gorgeous women clad in skimpy clothes with their boobs hanging out. Partying all day and all night with these women and fancy alcoholic drinks are the stuff of men's sexual dreams.
This video game rated for adults only, crosses the Sims game with the Playboy Magazine. You get to party and interact with game characters that are really sexy and fabulous. You can also, yes, have sex with them. They can give you lap dances or even control them to show you some girl on girl action. Party all you want with Playboy girls and live the dream right in front of your TV set. This game only requires your innate wooing skills and speed in button-pushing the game controls.
Satisfy your imagination with this game by being with sexy women and partying with them. Explore the mansion that won't probably be able to visit in this lifetime. This is truly one game that will make you excited.

Digital games have never been so realistic and engaging. Digital games can be played not only by one player but also by multiple players. Players in remote locations around the world can compete and make alliances with each other in the virtual world of digital or computer games. This is made possible by the high-speed broadband Internet connections of DSL. Digital games can take players to enchanted ancient worlds dominated my mythical creatures or can transport players into futuristic world of space adventures dominated by aliens. Games can be as simplistic as hand to hand combats or to games involving strategy and multiple tasks.
Galactic Civilization is one PC game that offers the challenge of strategy and the adventure of space exploration. The game is based on a classic 1994 PC game operated by OS/2 operating system of IBM. Galactic Civilization has some similarities to Sid Meier’s Civilization. The only difference is the outer space setting. Galactic Civilization has a strong AI and a variety of strategic options. The game is simpler in its approach than the recent Master of Orion III. It does not overwhelm you with the details of running a space empire. The game also has a single galactic map that can be customized.

Let's get back to the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video game. This video game is very controversial because of the violence and sex it depicts in the game. We have had our share of violent games through the years. There is an observation that yearly, the gaming environment's concept of video games, whether the role playing or third party type, has incorporating violence more and more.
GTA San Andreas stirred some parents because of the lack of information or advertisement that this video game is not intended for kids even before the release of the game late last year and early this year. Unlike Playboy Mansion who is advertised only for adults, this game was purchased and played by teenagers. Sexual depiction here is graphic. What is surprising is that it somehow tolerates women prostitution. Thugs can hire hookers and have sex with them on the game. The women in this game are naked, their private parts exposed.
I do not condemn this game as it is a very enjoyable piece of entertainment. I just wished parents were warned earlier so young minds did not see things that are too early for their realization. I still say, that if you understand that it is only a game, then enjoy and win it.

The Need for Speed series is one of the much awaited car racing games in the world of PC gaming. The series is one of the most successful games that has walked this planet. Surely, every car racing game enthusiast will have a lot to talk about now that Need for Speed Most Wanted is out.
What makes Most Wanted very much interesting is the return of the cops into the scene. Police cars chasing the player surely makes for adrenaline rush. One can definitely feel the excitement of the car racing game, dodging and running away from several cops that are on your trail.

You would think that a game based on the smashing cartoon series would deliver the goods with splash, what with its mordantly wacky characters and hopelessly ridiculous storylines, but so far, SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, PANTS! only ends in a trickle.
SpongeBob is still lovably chatty and deranged in this game, we’ll give you that, and here, he plays the role of talent scout desperate to resurrect a TV show. The thing is, the game goes on just like in the actual TV show, albeit with its details merely jazzed up. Or maybe that’s what it is supposed to be like: a clever play on self-referencing (SpongeBob as a cartoon icon of our real world, out to get talents for a TV show in his own world).
At any rate, SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, PANTS! is still enjoyable, and a good steep in Bikini Bottom’s salty deep is what you just might need to appreciate it.

The World Cup fever is beginning to simmer. Weeks after the group draw, EA has come out with another FIFA games. Many people thought FIFA 06 for Xbox was the best soccer version produced by EA. The superstars on the pitch were recognizable; the game playing instinctive--what more can you say for a sports game? Another FIFA label, FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup, is making its way to the gaming shelves to take full advantage of that World Cup fever. And there's only one thing to say about this game: it's totally useless.
As a purely fantasy game, it has absolutely no bearing on what football (soccer) fans are feeling right now. In the game, you are supposed to live out your fantasy from qualifying round to the World Cup itself. But doesn't FIFA 06 already provide that? Whereas 06 involves a total of 500 teams, Road to FIFA WC only has 72 teams for you to choose from, which means no Cinderella qualifications for Kazakhstan or Singapore. But what's most felt is the loss of the qualifying rounds bigness. The real number of teams that fought in the qualifying rounds is 132, more than double what is provided in Road to FIFA WC.
