Is it defeat or victory for this virtual PC game-- Day of Defeat? The setting trails back to World War II when nations are on tight fist of a global death match. For those who are looking for
realistic action package, you may very well indulge yourself with this historically-bound virtual game.
The game developers took details in weapon assimilation, costume, characters, and setting designs. That's the plus factor. On the other hand, it runs poor in cinematic appeal compared to other games. Since it is decades-old action drama, you cannot expect much of color stimulation. It is downright flat and unprovocative. You may also find it uneasy to use the map, explosives, and weapons.
To put it bluntly, it does not dominate the
PC game scene. It is nonetheless comparative to Counter Strike. It does not take much of a bolder lead. What I'm actually looking for is a better game sequence and power play, but I failed to see it in Day of Defeat. This is no less but ordinary to watch or see.
The forest scene didn't add up to my expectation. But perhaps the challenge of the game is to balance the aim of weapons with its settings. That makes it somewhat hard to knock. Unfortunately, it was a defeat seeing the screen shots and unfairly comparing it to other games. Good attempt for the game, but better luck next time.
